As many of you know, this past year I lost my brother, Eric, after a short battle with illness. The void he has left in my life and in the lives of my sister, brother and mother is overwhelming some days.

For the past eight years, I have participated in Annandale Village’s Extra Mile 5K race in support of Eric and the incredible individuals we serve at Annandale. This year’s race will take on a completely new meaning as I run in his memory on Saturday, August 28th at Suwanee Town Center.

The funds raised from the Extra Mile 5K directly support individuals, like Eric, with developmental disabilities or acquired brain injuries at Annandale Village. These remarkable men and women have battled much this past year, as the COVID-19 pandemic placed significant alterations on their day-to-day lives. Additionally, Annandale’s operations are sustained by donations and philanthropic support each and every year. As the cost of doing business gradually increases, so does our need for more philanthropic support. Your support of the Extra Mile 5K is vital to the success of our mission.

My hope is to be one of the top fundraising participants, while also bringing friends and family to Suwanee Town Center on race day in support of the race. In order to do that, I need your help.
