To expand our continuum of health services in response to the growing needs of the underserved and hard-to-reach populations of South Florida.
Our new health services expansion will transform the Care Resource’s existing 22,000 square foot two-story Midtown Miami facility, located at 3510 Biscayne Boulevard, into an innovative 55,000 square foot, seven-story state-of-the-art Midtown Health Center and Administrative Headquarters.
This new “medical home” will bring our fully integrated system of comprehensive care under one roof to address the whole needs of our clients, including primary medical and dental care, prevention and outreach, behavioral health, our Food for Life Network food pantry and nutritional center, and a myriad of other wraparound support services including specialized support groups and housing and transportation assistance. It will double the number of clients that can be served from 10,700 per year to 21,500 and the health visits from 43,200 to 86,400 within three years.
With the difficulties of access to care and especially transportation for our service population, having all of our services under one roof is vital. By integrating all of these services into one building, a patient can come in and have all of their clinical, social, and nutritional needs addressed in a single day, avoiding additional transportation costs and travel time.
