My family and I are participating in this year’s Froggy Run to raise money for HSDC (Hearing, Speech and Deaf Center) in Seattle. In particular, this event supports the Parent-Infant-Program (PIP) and Rosen preschool. PIP provides parents of deaf and hard of hearing infants information, resources and skills for communicating with their child. For many people, the first deaf person they know is their child. Rosen preschool is geared toward educating deaf and hard of hearing children, or those with deaf or hard of hearing siblings or parents. Mila is getting a fantastic education there!
