Since 2019, Belmont has stood alongside Jovenes en Camino in a powerful partnership rooted in both service and education.

Through this partnership:

• Faculty and students from Belmont’s pharmacy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy programs regularly travel to Honduras to provide hands-on care, run mobile clinics, and support sustainable health initiatives.

• Together, they’ve served hundreds of patients in rural areas surrounding the Jovenes campus, expanding access to medicine, diagnoses, and treatment options otherwise unavailable locally. 

• For Belmont students, these mission trips become transformative learning opportunities — they don’t just apply classroom knowledge, they see how health, community, and social determinants intertwine — and how they can leverage their skills to serve where needs are great.

This isn’t a distant relationship — it’s deeply relational. Belmont’s ongoing engagement strengthens Jovenes’s ability to offer holistic care, while investing in the next generation of compassionate, globally aware health professionals. Because of this partnership, a boy at Jovenes isn’t just getting shelter and schooling — he is gaining access to care, dignity, and the chance to thrive.
