Hello, my name is Gabriel Gajdek. When I was eight years old, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer. This was an incredibly difficult time for my family; my sister was just two, and we were left without our mother for several months. We faced the uncertainty of whether she would survive her battle with cancer. As a child, I struggled to understand what was happening, yet I was filled with fear and anxiety about the potential loss.
Fortunately, my mother fought through her illness and has been cancer-free for several years now. However, not everyone is as fortunate—many people are left without their mothers, fathers, sisters, or brothers. This is why I am committed to raising funds and awareness, so that no one else has to endure such a painful experience.
