Hunger doesn’t take a break. This September, neither will we.

September is Hunger Action Month—and at St. John’s Bread & Life, it marks the return of our annual Fill The Truck campaign.

Every day, New Yorkers turn to SJBL for hot breakfasts and lunches, nutritious groceries, and compassionate support. Each meal served and every bag of groceries provided offers more than nourishment: it brings relief, dignity, and hope to a neighbor facing hunger.

But the need remains urgent—and we cannot meet it alone.

Help Us Fill The Truck

This September, we’re calling on individuals, families, schools, businesses, and community groups to come together and help fill the SJBL truck from floor to ceiling with food for New Yorkers in need.

Our Campaign Goal

  • Raise $50,000 to support SJBL’s hunger-relief programs
  • Collect enough food to fill our truck from floor to ceiling

  • Help provide thousands of hot meals and pantry groceries across New York City

Your Support Has an Immediate Impact

When you give to Fill The Truck, you help:

  • Put nourishing food on a family’s table

  • Provide hot meals to neighbors experiencing hardship

  • Keep SJBL’s pantry shelves stocked during a time of growing need

  • Give New Yorkers the comfort of knowing where their next meal will come from

A donated can becomes part of a family’s dinner. A filled grocery bag can help a parent stretch a limited budget. A financial gift helps SJBL purchase food where the need is greatest.

Every dollar, every item of food, and every act of generosity moves us closer to a city where no one has to face hunger alone.
