Fire and Ice Annual Gala

Step into a night of celebration and purpose at the Source LGBT+ Center's Annual Gala, our largest fudnraiser of the year, on Friday, December 5, at the Visalia Convention Center.
This year’s theme, Fire & Ice, sets the stage for an evening of dazzling energy, bold expression, and unforgettable moments. Experience the spark of community pride and the cool elegance of a gala unlike any other in the Central Valley.

What to Expect:
A lively evening of dancing, entertainment, and connection, more than just dinner and speeches; stunning Fire & Ice-inspired atmosphere; and opportunities to connect with friends, allies, and leaders supporting LGBTQ+ rights and freedoms.

Why It Matters:
At a time when LGBTQ+ rights are being challenged across the nation, this event is more than a celebration, it’s a statement of resilience, joy, and solidarity. Your attendance directly supports The Source LGBT+ Center’s vital programs and advocacy efforts in Tulare and Kings Counties.

Our Special Guests:
We’re thrilled to announce that our auctioneer will be Jonathan Moscone, son of the late San Francisco Mayor George Moscone, who, as Senate Majority Leader, led the repeal of California's anti-sodomy law in 1975, and was the first Mayor to appoint openly gay people to city commissions, which led to the rise of Harvey Milk.
A native San Franciscan, Jonathan Moscone is an acclaimed theater director, producer, and arts advocate. He has served as Executive Director of the California Arts Council, Chief Producer of Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and Artistic Director of California Shakespeare Theater. The first recipient of the Zelda Fichandler Award, Jonathan continues to shape the arts as President of the board of The Tent in New York City and as a board member of The Roxie Theatre in San Francisco.
Not only will Jonothan be our auctioneer at the Gala, he will be available for a meet and greet during cocktail hour to connect with our community.

We are also excited to award Erin Garner-Ford with our 2025 Rainbow Awardee. Erin is a nonprofit leader, strategist, and advocate with more than 20 years of experience advancing equity and community-driven change across California’s Central Valley. She currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer for Salt + Light Works, where she leads strategic planning efforts, compliance, and operational oversight of The Neighborhood Village in Goshen.
Before joining Salt + Light full-time in 2023, Erin spent three years consulting with social justice organizations across the region—including The Source LGBTQ+ Center—helping strengthen their systems, sustainability, and community impact. Prior to 2020, she served as the Executive Director of ACT for Women and Girls, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering women, girls, and gender-expansive youth through leadership development. It was through her work with ACT that Erin became a dedicated advocate for The Source LGBTQ+ Center, deepening her commitment to inclusivity and belonging.
Erin holds a Master’s in Leadership and Organizational Studies from Fresno Pacific University and a Bachelor’s in Multicultural and Gender Studies from California State University, Chico. A proud Central Valley native, she is passionate about building inclusive spaces rooted in belonging, integrity, and community voice.
When she’s not working, Erin loves spending time with her partner, Jason, and their three kids—Jackson, Olivia, and Emily. She has a passion for travel, basketball, her two dogs (Theo and Paulie) and spreadsheets.
