M. Holland Community is hosting a food drive now through Friday, Nov. 17!
Food insecurity is an issue that impacts communities worldwide. According to Feeding America, which is a nationwide network of food banks, food pantries and local meal programs, over 10% of U.S. households were unable to acquire enough food to meet their basic nutritional needs at some point during the past year. That statistic is only higher among households that have children. It is estimated that 17% of children in the U.S. are living in food-insecure households, and 1 in 6 children struggle with hunger.
Our food drive is in support of the Northern Illinois Food Bank and local food banks near you.
