2026 For the Birds Gala
A Night of Southern Elegance and Wildlife Wonder

In addition to indulging in a delectable four-course Southern cuisine buffet, guests of this year's can expect a wide range of festive activities, including:
- An awards ceremony highlighting communit partners and volunteers;
- Lively music with a dance floor;
- Programs to get up close and personal with AWC's glove-trained ambassador birds;
-A robust silent auction with experiences, gift cards, travel, and much more;
-Fun games and prizes benefitting staff's hard work at AWC;

With the proceeds from ticket sales, sponsorships, and the evening’s silent auction, we aim to raise $100,000 to support the Alabama Wildlife Center’s critical work in wildlife rehabilitation and environmental education. Your contributions will help us provide life-saving care to injured birds and expand educational outreach programs like Nature for All, which brings nature to underserved communities. By joining us, you’re not only enjoying an elegant evening but also directly impacting Alabama’s wildlife conservation efforts.

Dress Code:
We invite guests to dress in what we’re calling formal casual attire — a balance between classic elegance and relaxed sophistication. Think cocktail attire, dressy eveningwear, or a polished outfit that feels special for a night out. Tuxedos and evening gowns are absolutely welcome for those who enjoy dressing to the nines, but not required. Likewise, a sharp suit or a chic cocktail dress will fit right in.
Our goal is to ensure that no guest feels over- or under-dressed. Whether you arrive in a tailored jacket or a full-length gown, a jumpsuit or a sport coat, you’ll be perfectly attired for a night of celebration, wildlife encounters, and unforgettable memories. We encourage you to wear what makes you feel confident and comfortable — just with a touch of festive flair.
