I’m excited to participate in the 10th Annual Free Throws for Kids event, where our team will shoot 500 free throws on April 5th at Lakota West High School. This is our 3rd year participating and we hope to raise $1,500 as a team!
During Reese's cancer treatment in 2022, we received two care packages from Free Throws for Kids during two different hospital stays. The packages included several gift cards and an uplifting note. We want to help other families going through a similar experience as we know how much it meant to us.
Your contribution helps Free Throws for Kids spread hope and love in FOUR ways:
Surprise 1,000 patients and their families throughout the year at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital with care packages, each valued at $125. These packages include comfort items such as fleece blankets and journals, along with gift cards for fuel, food, and the hospital cafeteria.
Donate $3,000 each month to the Cincinnati Ronald McDonald House to help provide fresh fruits and vegetables. Thanks to this ongoing support, over 177 families enjoy healthy, nutritious meals every day.
Grant $10,000 each year to the social services department at Cincinnati Children’s Liberty branch. This division assists patients and their families with immediate, real-time needs.
Allocate any surplus funds from the event to the FTFK Legacy Fund, ensuring a lasting impact. This approach allows the cause and contributions to endure forever, creating a legacy beyond our lifetime.
