During the month of July I plan to set aside all my free time to READ as many books as possible, in hopes of RAISING funds and awareness about how libraries are more important than ever.
One of the many reasons why I'm so passionate about libraries is that they provide FREE, high quality access to knowledge and culture to ALL users.
I want to celebrate the freedom to read by reading and reflecting on commonly banned books and share why they matter.
I strongly believe that all stories deserve to be told and that books help us think deeply about justice, politics, freedom, love and loss.
Banned books are often heavy, uncomfortable and hard to read but they create a much needed opportunity to view the world through someone else's perspective.
The Vos Little Free Library will be full of banned and censored books for the entire month of July.
