Hi! My name is Angel Haight - I am curious and love to learn! I recently joined the Foundation for San Mateo County Libraries board. I feel excited to be a part of this group! I am leading the “more than books” team because I believe there is no space like a public library to feel the embrace of community, provide a sense of place, boost self confidence and contribute to personal growth! Growing up in Redlands, California - I spent countless hours in the Young Readers Room of the A. K. Smiley Public Library and eventually the main reading room, or private study rooms. I met wonderful community members and fellow lifelong learners. I felt grounded and supported in the beautiful spaces. I was inspired by the promise that I would visit again soon! Follow our campaign and spread the word that our libraries offer so much more than books.
