For the month of July, I am excited to raise awareness about library resources beyond the typical book check outs. Additionally, I am asking my network to join me in raising funds to support the Foundation for San Mateo County Libraries.
Libraries offer countless resources, services, and community events to their surrounding communities. I am passionate about the equal access libraries provide to everyone regardless of race, religion, or socio-economic status. At the library, if you have a library card, whatever you check out is free!
During July, I will be sharing other ways to utilize local libraries.
I love utilizing my local library to learn about new music. My library offers all types of music formats including streaming, CDs, and even vinyl!
Additionally, San Mateo County Libraries allow patrons to check out bikes, free passes to surrounding museums and county & state parks, goPros, sewing machines, ukeles, and more.
Finally, I love the community libraries provide. Libraries offer daily classes and community events patrons can access to learn new skills or connect with people that share similar passions.
