Your Contribution Helps Families When They Need Us The Most
At The Arc Baltimore, we envision a world where every person with intellectual and developmental disabilities is valued—from birth through their golden years—and has access to the resources and support they need to live life to the fullest.
For nearly 74 years, we’ve been a lifeline for thousands of Baltimore families, providing hope when the future feels uncertain for their loved ones with disabilities. From a mother welcoming her beautiful newborn son with Down syndrome to a young adult stepping into the workforce to aging parents struggling to care for their adult daughter with cerebral palsy, families turn to us when they need it most.
Your generosity makes a difference. By making a gift or starting a personal fundraising page, you directly support the vital services The Arc Baltimore provides - from the first steps to the final celebration of life - and every milestone in between. We are here for families every step of the way.
My Connection to The Arc Baltimore
For nearly twenty years, The Arc Baltimore has been part of my life. I started there at 25 as the case manager for about 25 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. My role was to supervise the staff who supported these 25 people at their respective homes and ensure that each person had the necessary services to live their best lives. I've been in several roles during those two decades and loved every minute.
I've witnessed firsthand how The Arc provides the necessary resources, financial support, and emotional comfort to families who turn to us when they need us the most. I encourage you to take ten minutes to learn more about how we connected with the Richardsons, Halls, and Glowackis to support their son or daughter.
