Do you want to have the best time ever while raising money to support people going through outpatient chemotherapy treatment? Register to participate in FusionFest’15, a collaborative fundraiser between Cancer Wellness Connections and the Rochester Institute of Technology, ask friends and family to sponsor you and get your game on.
We knew that playing video games can help pass the time during chemotherapy treatments that can stretch out all day, but studies show these distractions also decrease the sensation of pain. That’s the power of play! And here’s a way you can make your video game playing powerful too:
Register – as an individual or start a team. Set a fundraising goal.
Get sponsors – ask your friends and families to donate
Play – On March 20 settle in to play. You choose the games, be it COD, Dota or Candycrush, the choice is yours. A chemo treatment can stretch out for 8 hours, can you play for 8 hours? 10? More? We won’t tell. And have your own FusionFest Fiesta at home. Have friends over for an evening of video games, because when you play, we all win.
