We hope you will join us at the STAR Annual Gala and Auction event. This is an important fundraising event for STAR for over 35 years to raise crucial funds to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
The event will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 6:30 PM at the Woodway Country Club, Darien, CT. This will be a fun night with live music and dancing, many unique and beautiful silent auction items and exiting live auction items to bid on.
STAR, Inc. is a nonprofit organization founded in 1952 to provided an alternative to institutional placement for a small group of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Today, STAR serves over 650 people of all ages by providing pediatric therapies for infants and children, helping high school students transition, providing customized employment to help adults find and keep competitive employment, providing housing, transportation, recreational and educational classes through the STAR day program and bridges the gap in government or insurance funding so appropriate services are available regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
