My name is Joshua Micheal Whitman and I am from Gallup. I am of the Bitter Water clan and born for the One-Walks-Around clan. My maternal grandfather are of the Red Running into the Water People clan and my paternal grandfather are of the Black Streak Wood People clan. That is how I am a Navajo man. I work at the Octavia Fellin Public Library as the Experiential Learning Coordinator and I am an artist. I create our graphics and plan events for the library specializing in teen programs. As an artist, I create paintings and photographs and participate in the Arts123 Gallery in Gallup, NM. I am also currently enrolled into the Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree program at San Jose State University and will be a Librarian by 2025.
