About Zeno
There is no such thing as a life lived without math. Beyond grades and test scores, Zeno changes hearts and minds so children of all backgrounds know that they too can be a doer and lover of math. By starting early, making math fun, including families, and working with community-based partners, we are removing the barriers that families of color face in accessing early math tools and resources.
Today more families and providers are self-identifying as math people, specifically our surveys show twice as many families and providers are saying that they “strongly agree” that they identify as a math person as a result of their work with Zeno.
This year Zeno distributed 27,000 early math games to nearly 5,000 families across 165 partner sites in Washington State during the 2021-2022 school year.
Why Zeno Matters to Me!
I love math! I love games! Both were an essential part of my childhood and now my children's lives. I'm lucky to have parents that played challenging card and math-oriented games with me, giving me the abilities and confidence that math is for me. Of course, not all children are as lucky. For those without the same fortunes as me, there's Zeno! Our unique model of working with communities and families to bring math play and math identity to 3-5 year olds creates a lasting impact that we should all get behind.
Celebrate 20 years since Zeno's founding and join us over your lunch hour to learn more about our community partnerships, amplify the voices of families, and help raise critical funds to support Zeno’s early math work.
Join us to learn more about Zeno’s work in the community, listen to stories from Zeno partners and families, and learn more about Zeno’s impact! We are proud to offer this event free to everyone, and deeply appreciate donations of any amount.
