My childhood friend Valerie has battled breast cancer for many years. In 2014 the cancer spread to her lungs and she was subsequently diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer. She is presently undergoing her third clinical trial at Dana Faber in Boston. We are walking the Gloria Gemma 5K on October 1 in support of Valerie and the wonderful caring people at Gloria Gemma who have provided support and services to Valerie and many other women battling this terrible disease.
