12.5% of women at some point in their life will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer. 1 out of every 8 women. In today's society with all of the health and technological advances we have, 12.5% is completely unacceptable. 

Claudia's Gold Chain was founded in 2016 by Claudia's only child, Daniel to honor his mothers memory in the fight against Breast Cancer. In 2016, the team that comprised of Claudia's Gold Chain raised over $26,000 for the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation; the largest amount raised by one team in the GGBC 5k history! 

Claudia was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in November 2011 and in June of 2016, left her own personal "boxing ring" to become a spectator. Throughout her battle, Claudia maintained a positive attitude and the will of "Iron Mike" Tyson. We honor Claudia and her memory as a loving, passionate and kind-hearted person who would be so proud and humbled at the outpouring of support in her name, but more importantly for the fight against Breast Cancer. 

The name "Claudia's Gold Chain" combines her birthday (7/24 - e.g. Gold Chain  24k), and what a chain symbolizes; with her family, friends and loved ones being entwined together to honor her memory.
