On Friday, February 16th, Phoenix Community Development Services is holding Gimme Shelter at the Peoria RiverPlex in Peoria and/or the Miller Center in Pekin, Illinois, an exciting event to raise awareness of the challenges faced by those with nowhere to call home and to give our citizens an opportunity to help in the fight to end homelessness in Central Illinois.

Our team is participating in Gimme Shelter and will be spending the night OUTSIDE in a cardboard box or vehicle. We'll experience a bit of what it's ike to be outside, overnight, in the Central Illinois cold - something that homeless people face every night all year long!

Phoenix Community Development Services is leading the fight to end homelessness in Central Illinois! They are taking people off the streets, placing them in homes, and then helping them build the skills and resources they need to maintain their housing permanently.The money we raise will help this great organization provide the permanent supportive housing and homeless outreach services that are necessary to end homelessness in our community.
