We're fundraising for Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity's 3rd Annual Veteran Build!
Thanks to generous sponsors, 100% of your donations will go directly to build Monya's family home, this year's veteran future homeowner. Your donation is counted as a vote for our house. The competition is, of course, to raise the most money for this home!
As the son and daughter of veterans who gave 20 and 26 year careers, including tours in Vietnam to the Army and Air Force respectively, Melanie and I have a great respect and appreciation for the service our veterans give to this wonderful country. This is one way we are showing our gratitude.
We love that Habitat for Humanity helps people to help themselves. Families that qualify and purchase Habitat homes have an opportunity to secure a foundation to build safe and stable lives that enable their children to get better educations and have more opportunities of their own. They contribute 200 hours of "sweat equity" and pay an affordable mortgage each month back to Habitat so that those resources can go to build another home. There's no telling how many homes, how many families, and how many lives your contribution to this event may impact into the future!
