COVID-19 is not the great equalizer that some claim. It is landing on top of the inequities in health and income and position in society and doing much greater harm to people and communities of color, especially immigrants and refugees. Public solutions are mainly reaching and supporting those who already have access to resources and support and those who don't are being left behind. This will not change without focus and strategy.
