Hi All -

I'm fundraising for OneAmerica because as many of you know, this organization has been my "movement home" for over a decade - starting back when it was Hate Free Zone, through a rebrand, and creation of OneAmerica Votes and OneAmerica Justice Fund... well, suffice to say I would not be who I am today without OneAmerica, especially Pramila, Rich, Roxana and the many many organizers, immigrant community leaders, and board members who I have gotten to work with, be friends with, and build power with. I think it's also fair to say that Washington state would not be who we are today - leading the charge on a humane and compassionate response to the crisis, doing everything we can to get funds to those who are first and hardest hit, and thinking long-term about the policy and practice changes needed for a more just future - if it weren't for OneAmerica. This crew has gone from offline organizing to getting their team online to carry out their work - not just the already critical work they had underway of census outreach, advancing good policy, fighting against racist federal policies, pushing back onTrump-fueled hatred against immigrant communities, and building power for elections - but now also the responsive work needed to keep our communities whole.

I have organized a table(s) at the OneAmerica dinner for many years, and many of you have joined me to experience the fun and revelry that is the beautiful OneAmerica community. This is the community that demonstrates what our country can be when we live into our values. So today, my ask is that you remember that spirit, and help me make sure that this community continues to grow. This is a tough time for so many of us, but it you have the ability to stretch and extend your financial resources to OneAmerica, I hope you'll join me in doing exactly that.
