2023 marks the 13th year of the Syrian refugee crisis, the world’s largest displacement crisis of our time. As the Syrian civil war began in March of 2011, millions of Syrians have lost their homes and their families with no one to go and no one to support them. Healthcare facilities destroyed, along with schools and water and sanitation facilities, leaving innocent people with nothing but prayers and tears. About 6.6 million Syrians are refugees, another 6.2 million are displaced in Syria, and 11.1 million in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. About 50% of these Syrians are just children, unable to work and take care of themselves. On top of all of this, yet another 1.1 million Syrian individuals have been driven into poverty due to Covid-19. I am working with Islamic Relief USA to raise money for Syrian refugees. whether it be $1 or $100, please donate what you can. If you can’t donate, I urge you to share this link with 5 friends and family members.
$1,000 can help support a free health clinic
$250 can provide our Disaster Response Team with the resources they need to respond swiftly during emergencies
$50 can provide a food package to a family in need for Ramadan
We must come together not as Muslims but as people to help those in need. Please donate and help break the chains of poverty and pain for our most-vulnerable neighbors.
