MSA has partnered up with Islamic Relief USA to help raise money for their Disaster Relief fund for areas where there are humanitarian crises. This program aids in, providing temporary shelters, medical and finical aid, and food and water. Areas, where Islamic Relief USA has touched base, are Africa, Afghanistan, Palestine, Yemen, and Syria. And now Pakistan.
Currently, Pakistan is experiencing the worst climate disaster in a decade. Over 33 million people have been affected by the devasting floods. About 1 million people lost their homes, and over 1000 people were killed, most of who are women and children
Millions of acres of crops have been destroyed by the flooding of crops, ruining the harvest season, and leaving there to be no resources for food supplies. Not only are millions of acres of crops destroyed, vital infrastructure including roads and bridges as well making it significantly difficult to flee and receive aid
The donations made will provide aid by:
- Food Aid
- Access to clean & safe water
- Healthcare for blindness, Hepatitis C, and neonatal and pediatric care
- Emergency response to the effects of climate change ( floods and droughts), and Covid-19
- Building sustainable livelihoods including plans to help low-income families start a business
-Widow Empowerment
