Building Noteworthy Character is more than just a tagline, it is who we are. Milwaukee Children's Choir exists to provide exceptional choral music education and performance experiences that foster creativity, personal expression and social growth. While learning notes, rhythm and vocal tone, youth develop lifetime skills to help achieve their full potential. This includes developing leadership skills, demonstrating self-assurance, and having improved confidence and social growth.
The MCC is committed to developing programs that bring greater ethnic, racial, gender, and economic diversity into the membership of its choirs. To ensure that no child will be excluded from participating due to financial reasons, the MCC offers tuition assistance through the Emily Crocker Scholarship Fund to disadvantaged youth.
Matching Gift Challenge
Double your gift during Give2Sing
Backed by the extraordinary generosity of the MCC Board of Directors and anonymous donors, the Milwaukee Children's Choir is announcing a $10,000 matching gift challenge during Give2Sing.
Inspired by the MCC’s efforts to support Milwaukee youth with a passion for singing, these philanthropists have agreed to match every donation to the MCC's Give2Sing, dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000.
Their hope is to motivate other donors and community members with the ability to give. By doubling the $10,000 goal, they are helping the MCC secure the resources needed to open new opportunities for singers after so many limitations caused by COVID-19.
When you give, you are doubling your impact!
Give2Sing: Singing Apart, Giving Together
COVID-19 has had a devastating effect on the musical life of our community. It is especially crushing for youth who no longer have access to performance and music education opportunities through school or afterschool programs.
The pandemic created a hole where the performing arts and music education once brought joy and purpose. In this challenging environment, MCC is committed to helping keep music alive.
Throughout the season, MCC choristers came together online and continued singing, despite being apart. Why, you may ask?
Because singing is their passion.
During the Give2Sing Campaign, we're showcasing our choristers while they sing apart. What they're doing takes a lot of time and energy, and all without the benefits you receive when singing together.
Expect to see so much more from us as we show you how our choristers sing apart. Follow us at @MilwaukeeChildrensChoir and use the hashtag #Give2Sing to keep up with the latest on the Campaign. You don't want to miss it.
