OneAmerica has been my movement and political home for the last decade. As the proud daughter of immigrants from Iran, my entire life I have searched for a place in which I could turn the pain and hardship my family experienced leaving their home country of Iran to power and transformational change. OneAmerica has been that place where I learned about the power of organizing and found a path for my own personal and professional leadership and growth.
Over the last 20+ years, OneAmerica has grown into one of the most powerful immigrant rights organizations in the nation. I along with so many of you have been a big part of that growth. I started as an intern (baby Rox at my first immigrant rally in my profile pic) at OneAmerica in 2009, and in 2021 stepped into the role of Executive Director.
I am so fortunate to have made OneAmerica my movement, organizing and political home. To have had the opportunity to be invested in and to invest in others. To wake up every day thinking about how we build power for immigrants and build a better world for our future. To create a thriving home for immigrants and refugees. That's why I chose to lead with OneAmerica and invite you to invest in our work and our future
Together we can create a thriving home for immigrants and refugees. Immigrants deserve not only to survive, but to thrive.
To get there, we must expand unemployment insurance to include undocumented workers. We need to support multilingual students and families and expand dual language programs in schools. In our thriving home, families must be together and free from deportation and detention.
Please join me in supporting OneAmerica to build the world as it should be.
Thanks to a generous donor, the first $10,000 raised will be DOUBLED!
Together we can build power in immigrant communities in Washington state and beyond!
