AccesSurf Hawaii (ASH) is a local non-profit dedicated to positively impacting lives by providing beach and ocean access to people with disabilities. Our goal is to offer the joy of the water to anyone with a disability and their families. This campaign is something new. My goal is to do a small part and raise $1000 so that we can keep our monthly events free -- the same way it was when I stumbled upon this organization and this amazing ohana almost 8 years(?!) ago. We don't think about it, but one of the greatest privileges of living in Hawaii is sharing in our outdoor playground, and it is inaccessible to a whole bunch of people. Step in AccesSurf. Since 2006, ASH has grown to provide life changing ocean experiences annually. Think surfing to swimming to simple wheelchair access to the beach. Through our core programs, clinics, and events, ASH touches thousands of lives each year. Focused on inclusion, ASH has created a community that centers around the shared and healing experience of the ocean. If you can spare a few dollars for this great cause I will be forever grateful.
