Bringing together advocates, partners, philanthropists, and changemakers, the Gala reflects the heart of the Global Fund for Widows’ mission: restoring dignity, expanding opportunity, and creating sustainable pathways to financial independence for widows and female heads of household.
The evening will feature inspiring stories from the field, keynote presentations, a paddle raise, and opportunities to directly support widow-owned micro-banks and sustainable livelihoods across communities worldwide.
Since 2008, the Global Fund for Widows has supported more than 39,509 widows and female heads of household through its award-winning WISALA micro-banking innovation. Across more than 10 countries, GFW has established 408 widow-owned micro-banks providing access to skills-based training, job creation, financial inclusion, and economic opportunity, while also advancing widows’ rights through global advocacy and policy action at the United Nations level.
