I'm participating in GLOBE Trot, the annual fun Run to raise money for The GLOBE Academy. As a Dekalb County public charter school, GLOBE does not receive a proportionate share of public funding that traditional public schools receive for capital projects and to maintain their facilities. As a result, the GLOBE Academy relies on generous donations from the community to advance its mission of building globally minded citizens who will effect change in the world — and who live in accordance with our core values of Community, Respect, Empathy, Sustainability, and Trust.
