CLUE's annual awards breakfast brings together partners in labor, faith, and justice organizations to connect, celebrate, and recommit to all we can achieve when we work in sacred solidarity to build a more sacred and just society. When you support CLUE through Giants of Justice you fuel an organized, connected, interfaith movement for economic, racial, and immigrant justice.

Rev. James Lawson helped found CLUE as a vehicle for faith and labor to join together in their resistance to plantation capitalism. The need for that resistance is more obvious than ever.

With your help, we can continue to expand our work in 2026, bringing together people of all faiths to build the Beloved Community in Southern CA. 

HELP BUILD THE BASE: Thousands more people have joined our movement this year. With additional organizers on the ground, we can engage more of them in the transformational work of justice.

HELP GROW THE MOVEMENT: New groups have surfaced to counter authoritarian overreach by the federal administration. With your support we can connect these groups in coalition, exponentially growing the nonviolent resistance movement.

HELP STRENGTHEN CONGREGATIONAL  JUSTICE-MAKING: More congregations are reaching out asking for help connecting to their neighbors. With more resources we could offer them ongoing trainings in mutual aid, congregational safety, and other real support for their community building work.

Here are just a few ways CLUE has stepped up in the last year to accompany the most vulnerable members of our communities–low-wage workers, immigrants, and communities of color.

• When ICE first surged into Los Angeles, CLUE established an immigrant bond fund and has now bonded out over 100 individuals in just five months, reuniting them with their families.
• When Kaiser mental health care workers remained resolute through a 196-day strike, including a 5-day fast that called attention to the sacrifices that caregivers make for their patients, CLUE was with them at every step until they received a new dignified contract.
• When ICE started abducting immigrants at their court hearings, CLUE trained 250 faith leaders as court observers to provide prayer and faithful witness to families in immigration court every day of the week across Southern California.
• Through a two-year struggle more than 100 CLUE members stood in sacred solidarity with hospitality workers until they moved the LA City Council to pass a new living wage ordinance that will help workers thrive.
• As the Trump administration has threatened violence and chaos, CLUE has trained more than 2,000 community members in nonviolent direct-action.
