More than 6 million Americans of all ages have Alzheimer's. Seventy-three percent are age 75 or older. About 1 in 9 people age 65 and older (10.7%) has Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's begins 20 years or more before memory loss and other symptoms develop. The time is now to act - let's support those who are already suffering and protect ourselves, our children and future generations from this devastating disease.

We are mothers, wives, sisters, aunts and friends. We all have a reason for walking. Some of us have personally been impacted by the disease, while others are passionate about preventing an illness that robs us of our memories and puts our children at risk. 

We are pickleballers! Pickleball isn't just a trendy sport taking over the world. Like other forms of exercise, pickleball can benefit the mind and body. It can reduce stress and provide a gentle workout, and it is also a chance to interact with others. Playing pickleball strengthens the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex, improves memory, improves overall mood, lowers social isolation, continually challenges and stimulates the brain. Not to mention it is fun!
