I support CKC first and foremost because I am a mother to the most beautiful, sweet, and precious toddler, named Benjamin. Secondly I support CKC because of my best friend Heather Jones. She has witnessed too much loss due to childhood cancer especially recently when one of her best friends lost their son, Mason who was the same age as her son Owen. The shared devastation, grief, and absolute heartache that I have seen her go through is enough for anyone to want to roll up their sleeves and figure out a way to help! And lastly one of my dear friends daughter Katherine is fighting stage 4 cancer for the second time in 18 months. I can never fully understand the depth and magnitude of what it must be like to live in her shoes as a mother witnessing her daughter going though this battle not once but twice, but if what we accomplish on April 24th can help just one child with a critical trial, or give a family more time with their son or daughter, it will be worth it.
