I first heard about Melissa’s son Cannon from a friend on Facebook and began following their journey.  I found myself checking for updates and saying little prayers for Cannon when she would post about tests and treatments.  I remember taking my son, Quinn, to a fundraiser that they held in College Park.  As we were getting ready to leave, I told Quinn that we were going to a fundraiser to raise money for a child who was sick and needed to get better.  He immediately ran to his room and came back with a quarter and a dime from his piggy bank.  He was so proud to give his coins to help the special little boy his mom told him about.  Years later, I am honored to help raise money for this incredible foundation that will benefit many children who are affected by pediatric cancer.  Please join me on April 24^th as Cannonball Kids’ cancer Foundation sets out to raise $1 million to fund research for pediatric cancer.
