I first heard about Melissa’s son Cannon from a friend on Facebook and began following their journey. I found myself checking for updates and saying little prayers for Cannon when she would post about tests and treatments. I remember taking my son, Quinn, to a fundraiser that they held in College Park. As we were getting ready to leave, I told Quinn that we were going to a fundraiser to raise money for a child who was sick and needed to get better. He immediately ran to his room and came back with a quarter and a dime from his piggy bank. He was so proud to give his coins to help the special little boy his mom told him about. Years later, I am honored to help raise money for this incredible foundation that will benefit many children who are affected by pediatric cancer. Please join me on April 24th as Cannonball Kids’ cancer Foundation sets out to raise $1 million to fund research for pediatric cancer.
