During my career, I worked as a respiratory therapist in the PICU, where I witnessed the daily realities of childhood cancer. I was a part of a team of medical professionals dedicated to providing the best possible care for children and families who were in the fight of their lives. Too many times, I watched as parents were told that their child had run out of treatment options, and that it was time to prepare to say goodbye. I joined the fight for my patients and their families.
When my daughter was born, and I became a mother, the reality of those experiences hit home in a way they never had before. Childhood cancer is something no child or family should ever have to experience. Please join me in supporting Cannonball Kids’ cancer. Together, we can make a difference for today’s patients, survivors, and generations to come.
