On Monday, October 7, 2024, Friends of the White River presents the 2nd Annual Golf 'Fore' the River Fundraising Event brought to you by Valvoline
Established in 1985, Friends of the White River (FOWR) is a not-for-profit corporation formed to preserve and protect the White River. Our goal is to sustain the long-term viability of the White River for future generations. Friends of the White River advocates for a clean, healthy river ecosystem through our programming.
Friends of the White River uses Outdoor Education, Environmental Justice, and Watershed Restoration programs to:
- Enhance equitable public access for paddling, fishing, and boating
- Improve water quality and restore native habitats
- Protect the White River’s watershed
- Prevent illegal dumping
- Promote river safety and recreation
Since our inception, we have worked purposefully to promote the continued improvement of the quality of the river’s water and to maintain and restore habitat and wildlife in the river and along its adjacent greenways.
Our 2nd Annual Golf 'Fore' the River Fundraiser will feature a virtual silent auction, gift card wall, longest drive competition, charity hole-in-one challenge, and feature our signature cocktails, Limestone and River Water.
