The Retreat's Annual Golf Outing at Amagansett Golf Club

Tee off with us on October 8, 2026 at the beautiful Amagansett Golf Club. This year, we are proudly honoring celebrity Chef Michael Symon.

Nestled in the oceanside hamlet of Amagansett and surrounded by scenic nature preserves, this historic course offers a truly unforgettable golf experience. Originally founded in 1921 as a nine-hole course and expanded to 18 holes in 2000 by renowned golf architect Gil Hanse, Amagansett Golf Club provides a challenging and enjoyable round for golfers of all skill levels.

Golfers will enjoy a scramble-style tournament while taking in the course's beautiful natural surroundings and coastal vistas. Guests will enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres along with a live action station, and a live auction. The auction will feature exclusive golf experiences and fine wine.

Join us for a spectacular day of golf, great food, and community as we honor Chef Symon and support The Retreat's mission to provide safety, shelter, and support for survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

We'd like to thank our Golf Committee Co-Chairs, Steve Maietta and Claudia Pilato, for their continued leadership and support of this event.

His culinary mastery can be experienced at his restaurants Angeline and Bar Symon. Beyond the kitchen, Michael’s creative yet approachable cooking style shines through on his podcast Chewed Up with co-hosts Clinton Kelly and Carla Hall, as well as his YouTube series Simply Symon’s with his wife Liz. He also appears on Food Network shows including 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing and Symon’s Dinners.

His illustrious career includes being named Food & Wine magazine’s Best New Chef in 1998 and receiving The James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef Great Lakes in 2009. With nine cookbooks to his name, including the newly released New York Times Best Seller Symon’s Dinners: Cooking Out, Michael continues sharing his culinary wisdom with his ever-growing audience.
