Mark David Billips was born with a set of 4 congenital heart defects known as Tetralogy of Fallot. In 2018 he underwent two surgical procedures at 2 & 3 weeks old and at 4 months old he underwent major open heart repair surgery. Only 76 years ago this diagnosis would have been terminal and his surgery impossible. Thanks to decades and decades of life saving research Mark has a long life ahead of him! He will undergo at least one more open heart surgery in his lifetime and will be followed by cardiology for the rest of his life. But we have hope for a bright future for our boy!
