On June 22nd, I will be participating in the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon on behalf of Children’s Minnesota. This will be my very first half! I have made the commitment to not only run but to raise $2,500 that will benefit their heart program.
Two years ago when the opportunity came up, I surprised myself and signed up for Grandma's Marathon– a big thank you to my cousin Paul on that one. I was immediately motivated, not only as a personal challenge but to support such a tremendous resource that we have in Minnesota.
I feel grateful to be part of an inspiring group of individuals running for Children's, but I am absolutely thrilled that group also includes eight colleagues and a dear friend. I will be on that starting line because of their support and encouragement.
