Hi Everyone,

I am excited to say that I am going to be taking part in the Grandma’s Marathon (26.2) in Duluth, MN on June 22, 2019 as a member Team Superstars for Children’s Hospitals of MN.  It is such a wonderful group to be a part of and it was a great experience for me back in 2017. 

The last time around, there were several instances of parents and grandparents sharing stories with me of how Children’s Hospitals of MN had positively impacted the life of a family member.  It was quite humbling to hear these stories and inspiring to know the kids behind the stories.  I know some of these kids personally and they are leading healthy, normal, active lives today.

This time around, I have a niece who was recently diagnosed with leukemia and has been receiving treatment at Children’s.  The family has received encouraging news so far and we are hopeful that the good news continues to pile up.  Once again, humbled and inspired.

Each of the charity runners has a fundraising goal of $750 for the event.  I am setting my goal at $1,500 in hopes of surpassing it.  On the last day of fundraising, I am going to look at the balance and personally match whatever it is up to $1,500.  Please feel free to visit my fundraising page at the secure link below to see the progress.  You click on the hyperlink or copy and paste the URL into your web browser.
