My Children's Hospital and Clinic's story starts with the birth of our second son Connor.  Connor was born with hydrocephalus which led to complications resulting in more than three months spent in the PICU and NICU facilities as well as three major surgeries.  

The amazing team at Children’s supported us, educated us and treated us as partners in his care.   It was our experience and care that led to our continued involvement with the Children’s mission to become every family’s essential partner in raising healthier children. 

Contributions like this help cover the costs for those who otherwise can’t afford medical care for their children. They also help pay for the unique aspects of care that are not covered by insurance — like language interpreters for families who have limited English proficiency or art therapy.  

We are using Pi Day (March 14) as a fun way to raise funds to support Children's.   I am volunteering to take a pie to the face to help in these efforts.  Each dollar raised will go directly to Children's and will earn an entry towards being the honorary pie thrower
