Why we support the GVC

Formed in 1989, Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (GVC) is a Baltimore County-based land trust and watershed restoration nonprofit. When you donate to our team fundraising page, your tax-deductible donation helps GVC promote and work for:

  • Clean drinking water from Prettyboy and Loch Raven Reservoir
  • Climate resiliency through native tree plantings and preserved lands
  • Community pride in neighborhood streams that have regular clean-up events
  • Pollinator habitat that also filters pollutants and reduces standing water

GVC's dedicated Board of Directors and Advisory Council contributes their time, talent, and treasure to ensure that our organization is successful.  

Protecting our community watershed is something that should unite us all. Please help us reach our fundraising goal and make a difference for future generations!
