What do I do with my Ticket Code?

After you register or accept an email invite from a table host, you will receive a personal ticket code. Use your ticket code to set up an account so that you can participate in the Live Auction, raffle, and Fund-A-Need Paddle Raise during the event. We recommend downloading Givi, a mobile donation app, onto your phone and setting up your account there. If you don’t want to download the app right now, you can set up your account through our online event portal instead: https://secure.qgiv.com/event/h4cn2022/login.

Where do I find my ticket code?

Your personal ticket code appears in your event registration confirmation email. Need help finding that email?

  • The subject line is: “Your Hope for Children Now 2022 Ticket”

  • The sender is: noreply@qgiv.com

Still need help? Contact chelsea@children-rising.org to resend your registration confirmation and Ticket Code.

What is the Givi app and what is it for?

The Givi app is a mobile donation app that makes it easy to donate to Children Rising at our Hope for Children Now Gala from your phone! By downloading Givi and setting it up with your ticket code and payment method ahead of the event, you now have a secure and convenient way to participate in the night’s activities, including our Fund-A-Need Paddle Raise.

During the Fund-A-Need Paddle Raise, all you need to do is add your chosen donation level (or levels!) to your Givi cart. On the Givi app, you will be able to see all your donations and purchase activities in one place. At the end of the night, just check out on the app and—voilà!—you’re done! Need some help with it? Find us at the Checkout Table near the venue exit and we’ll sort you out.

Scan this QR code with your phone to download Givi.

Where do I park for the event?

Street parking is available for guests on Bellevue (off Grand Ave.) You will see a parking kiosk at the entrance of Fairyland. Drive past the kiosk and park in the marked parking spots on the left or right side of the street. Please remove all valuables from your vehicle.

Where do I check in at the event?

Walk to the front entrance of Fairyland (look for the large shoe).

Your name will be on the front entrance guest list, and you will be welcomed in by a Fairyland staff member.

Once inside, you will be directed to the registration table and receive your nametag, program, auction paddle, and anything else you might need to have a great evening!

Can I make a donation or purchase at the event with cash or check?

Yes! Just visit the registration table or the raffle/drink ticket sales table and they will gladly process your check or cash.

How do I donate at the event?

You may make a donation through the Givi app at any time, or wait until the Fund-a-Need Paddle Raise at the end of the night. You can also make a gift by check or cash at the raffle or registration table.

How do I participate in the Live Auction?

Each guest (or couple) will receive an auction paddle with a pre-assigned bidder number. At the Live Auction, raise your paddle to place a bid for the auction package. We’ll record the winning bids for each item and the winner will go to the Checkout Table at the end of the night to pay and make arrangements to receive their prize.

How do I purchase raffle tickets and drink tickets?

Raffle and drink tickets are available to purchase at the Raffle/Drink ticket table. You can pay with a credit card, check, or cash.

Will dinner be served?

Yes! Delicious food will be provided by The Table Catering. Heavy single portion bites will be served to accommodate a cocktail hour dinner. The offerings are substantial, and we promise you will not leave hungry. We will also provide a no-host bar, desserts, coffee, and tea.

COVID-19 Safety

Our event will be entirely outdoors, and masks are optional. Mask wearing should be based on your personal preference, informed by your level of risk. Hope for Children Now will comply with all current safety guidelines of the CDC and the Alameda County Public Health Department.

Cocktail tables are tall and spaced out for guests to stand around if they would like. Other spaced-out benches for seating are available throughout the venue as well.

During the program, guests have the option to sit at chairs that are assembled theater style OR they can find seating around the perimeter if they feel more comfortable.

We look forward to celebrating with you!

What should I wear?

The suggested dress code is semi-formal attire.

Semi-formal attire is similar to business casual and slightly less formal than cocktail attire. Outfit options may include button-down shirts, dress pants, and dress shoes, and jumpsuits, tea dresses, and knee-length dresses.

We will have heat lamps spread around the venue, but it is highly recommended you bring a warm coat as the event is outside and could get chilly later in the evening.
