Hi! I am the program manager for the Succeeding by Reading Program at Children Rising. Please help me support a cause that I am very passionate about- improving children's literacy by providing one on one support and guidance from a caring adult. This program will be even more critical to helping children once they are back in school as many of them may fall further behind with school being closed in response to the covid-19 outbreak. Together, one child at a time, we can make a generational change in our community - nurturing and equipping vulnerable children to rise above challenges created by generations of poverty, violence, and educational inequity. 

Since 2001, Children Rising has partnered with under-resourced community schools in the East Bay, coming alongside thousands of struggling children and youth. Last year, 400 children were given the gift of foundational learning, improved self-confidence, and the sense of hope that always follows. But there are so many more loving and intelligent children who deserve the same chance to learn and have a much better opportunity to realize their potential as they grow.
