? Why am I running?

I was once a child without hope. A child on food stamps. A child that relayed on school meals. A child who wondered if she could ever afford to go to college.

I'm paying it forward to those who did so for me. I am here today, because of those unnamed angels. 
 

? How do I help?

My initial goal was $250 and I wanted to donate, so I donated that amount and raised my goal to $500.

I want to do more though, so if you give $1. I'll match it as an additional donation. So really, your $1, would be matched at $2! How cool is that!

Since 2001, Children Rising has partnered with under-resourced community schools in the East Bay, coming alongside thousands of struggling children and youth. Last year, 400 children were given the gift of foundational learning, improved self-confidence, and the sense of hope that always follows. But there are so many more loving and intelligent children who deserve the same chance to learn and have a much better opportunity to realize their potential as they grow.

Children Rising has the audacious goal of empowering 2,000 students each year by 2022!
