When hiking, I feel my place in the world more strongly than at any other time. It is humbling, beautiful, and sometimes scary! At those times, I have proved to myself that I have more strength and courage than I know.

I am participating Blue Sky Fund's Hike for Kids because I want to give kids their own opportunity to connect with nature. Blue Sky Fund runs outdoor education programs for students in Richmond Public Schools. These experiences can help them learn more about themselves and build leadership skills.
