Believe it or not, I am now in my 6th year of volunteering with Hands of Hope, an organization which is focused on vulnerable children in Indiana and around the world. My role has morphed over the six years, but the needs of the children have only grown. I recently had the opportunity to visit our Children’s Home partner in India and was amazed at the powerful impact (spiritually, physically and emotionally) that the home is having on these 87 kids who would otherwise have nothing. One particular memory is the children loudly repeating the scripture that was being read to them twice a day.

Hands of Hope is primarily, though, focused on kids in Indiana. We spend most of our effort equipping individuals to foster and/or adopt and training churches how to best support those individuals. At the same, we are consistently working on programs that allow children to stay in their biological home, if that is possible.

At Hands of Hope, we often say that “Everyone can do Something” and we are consistently working to help as many people as possible figure out what their “Something” is.
