Hello! My name is Maria Kachur! I am off on yet another adventure with Christ as I prepare to join Hard as Nails Ministry come August in 2025!

A little bit about me and how I got here! I turn 18 in March and I am currently in my senior year of highschool! I am the second oldest of 10 kids, I have 7 brothers and 2 sisters! We're all homeschooled and we live on a farm and my whole life I grew up with the dream of doing ministry work. Mission is something that is so important to me becasue I grew up surrounded by it and it has impacted my life in such an amazing way. I grew up catholic and going to summer camps, reteats, youth groups, ect and all of these were run by missionaries who have blessed me in incredible ways and since then I've been inspired to share the love of Christ the way it has been sharred with me. In the summers of 2023 and 2024 I took my first step into the life of a missionary and served with the Apostolate for Family Consecration at Catholic Familyland. I was able to grow even more in my relationship with Christ through service to all the familes who came and I fell in love even more with serving and loving others. From there I decided to take a gap year to do more ministry work for this upcoming year after highschool!

How did I find out about Hard as Nails?? Wonderfull question! I actually live in Newark Ohio where a lot of the missionarie are so I saw them around a decent bit. But, one of the Hard as Nails missionaries reached out to e and asked if I'd want to come over for dinner one night. From there my relationships grew with all the missionaries I met and I slowly began to learn more about their mission and slowly felt more drawn to joining.

I'm so excited to be taking this next step in my faith and to be joining this amazing mission!
