My story with autism

Samuel’s diagnosis

Not many of you know but my sweet Samuel was diagnosed with level 2 high functioning autism a few weeks ago. I know it’s hard to believe, he seems like a “normal” child and he is; he is a perfectly normal child that lacks some social and behavioral skills, he is extremely smart and sweet and continues to be my baby regardless of this diagnosis. Nothing has really changed other than the fact that we can now get him the help he needs and we can understand better some of his behaviors. He is still the silly, crazy, active, talkative, loving, caring, sometimes mean boy that you have met before.
If you know me you know I hate running, but I thought what better motivation than training for my first ever 5k to honor my baby. I got so many messages today to ask me about the race I’m training for and wanted to join so I created a team. “Samuel’s running pals” if you would like to run with us or if you feel led to donate please do so! Thank you!
